stoba celebrates 60 years of innovation
There are many good reasons to be optimistic about the future. One of them is that we at stoba have been developing innovations for better products and processes for 60 years. We have been developing the future for 60 years!
This is an occasion for us to look back with pride at what we have already achieved – and at the same time to see the successes of the last six decades as an incentive to continue to drive technological progress with energy and determination. In order to become the company we are today, we have overcome a number of hurdles in the past and courageously faced new challenges time and again. Christoph Bode, CEO of the stoba Group, sums up: “This is how we have developed from a “simple turning shop” to a contract manufacturer to a specialist for high-precision components and assemblies in large series. And we have gone from being a local automotive supplier to a global technology partner for future topics.”Continuous development and new markets Important milestones were the entry into the GDI market in 2012, into laser technology in 2014 and the opening up to the consumer market in 2018. stoba has also been shaking up the e-mobility market since the same year. Gerhard Firlbeck, COO of the stoba Group, is proud of this progress: “Over the years, we have broadened our base and continue to develop in order to provide our customers with the best possible offer.”
From Backnang to the world – for our products and for our employees. Backnang is the backbone of stoba Precision Technology, where processes are developed and passed on. Brno is our competent and efficient GDI specialist. Our youngster, our future location Charleston is our flagship for the North American market. The plant in Small Dole is our competence center for Heavy Duty Injector Bodies. In Yantai, we see an extremely positive and promising development for the entire company. stoba Customized Machinery, located in Memmingen, is the technology forge par excellence. And our newest business unit, stoba e-Systems, is our logical step towards e-mobility. Together with all business units and locations, we form stoba. We are proud of the past 60 years. And together we are now looking forward to many more decades characterized by tireless progress and alert curiosity. Always with the big goal: developing the future.
