Partner and sponsor meeting of the Tour Ginkgo at stoba in Backnang
For over ten years, stoba has supported the Tour Ginkgo, a charity cycle tour organized by the Christiane Eichenhofer Foundation, which runs through southern Germany every year. The aim of the tour is to collect donations for projects and facilities that provide relief for families with seriously or chronically ill children.
Last Thursday, stoba welcomed a total of 18 guests to the annual partner and sponsor meeting of the Tour Ginkgo at the stoba site in Backnang. The afternoon began at 4 p.m. with a presentation by Christoph Bode, CEO of the stoba Group, who introduced the group of companies, its markets, services and current challenges and successes. He then gave an extensive tour of the plant together with Christian Peschke, CTO of the stoba Group. The guests were given exciting insights into production and marveled at stoba’s own machines from Memmingen and the new production area for the manufacture of electrolyzer components, among other things. The feedback was consistently positive – the participants were impressed by the processes and innovative strength at stoba.
After a brief refreshment, Christiane Eichenhofer, chairwoman and founder of the association, took the floor. She gave an insight into the Tour Ginkgo, which has already collected over 4 million euros in donations in its 33-year history. With the presentation of the cheque by Sigrid Christ, owner of Grill World, this sum was increased again on Thursday evening.
“The Tour Ginkgo combines joint sporting commitment with social responsibility – values that are also central to us at stoba. We are therefore proud to be part of the Tour Ginkgo and to support the project as one of the main sponsors,” says Christoph Bode.
Christiane Eichenhofer concluded: “Our work is only possible thanks to donations. I am therefore very grateful for the close partnerships with companies from the region and greatly appreciate the exchange with everyone involved. After coming together at stoba, I’m looking forward all the more to the 2026 tour – this time in the Ludwigsburg area.”
