Eleven new apprentices are starting this training cycle at stoba: two aspiring industrial business clerks, two warehouse logistics specialists, two machining mechanics, two industrial mechanics, and three machine and plant operators.

On June 30, 2026, PHINIA Inc. announced that it had entered into a definitive agreement to acquire 100% of the equity interests in the stoba Group. The proposed transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026, subject to customary regulatory approvals and closing conditions.
stoba’s 65-year history stands for experience, development, and change. At the same time, stoba is celebrating 40 years of training at its Backnang location this year.
Since the beginning of 2026, stoba has been a member of ARENA2036 (“Active Research Environmentfor the Nextgeneration of Automobiles“), a research platform where industry and science work together on technologies for the mobility and production of the future.

The stoba Group is officially one of the most popular training companies in Germany: Just in time for the upcoming 40th anniversary of the training department, stoba has reached 24th place out of a total of 500 companies in the new training ranking “Most Wanted Start 2026” by DIE ZEIT and the employer platform kununu.
For over ten years, stoba has supported the Tour Ginkgo, a charity cycle tour organized by the Christiane Eichenhofer Foundation, which runs through southern Germany every year. The aim of the tour is to collect donations for projects and facilities that provide relief for families with seriously or chronically ill children.
From November 12 to 13, the stoba Group will once again be represented with a booth at the Precision Fair in s’-Hertogenbosch (Netherlands), where we will be presenting our extensive technology portfolio.
A team of sales and engineering experts will be on hand to demonstrate the potential that our wide-ranging expertise can offer customers.
5,215 kilometers! That’s how much distance the two stoba teams from Backnang and Weinstadt covered this year in the STADTRADELN competition. Compared to traveling by car, this saved a total of over 800 kilograms of CO2.
